Ingredients:
FOR CAKE
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tbspns sour cream or low Fat yogurt
- ½ cup milk
- 1 ½ cup Flour
- 1 tspn baking powder
- Rind of 1 lemon
FOR SYRUP
- ½ cup sugar
- Juice of 1 lemon
Procedure:
-Beat butter and sugar well and add egg. Beat and then add milk.
-Sieve Flour and baking powder together.
-Beat and add sour cream. Again beat and add sieved Flour.
-Add lemon rind and mix well.
-Pour this mixture into a greased pan and bake in a preheated oven For 20 – 30 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.
-Check with a skewer if done.
-Take it out From the oven and allow to settle For 3 minutes and then very carefully take it out in a plate.
-Pour over the syrup.
-Slice and serve.
Outcome:
Simple yet tasty easy – to – make lemon loaf is ready to be served.

-Beat well whenever you add any ingredient to the batter.
